Road Journal 07.02.05 Well, I'm home for a little while. Thanks to everyone ine the U.P. (that's upper peninsula - the part of Michigan just north of Wisconsin - for all of you who slept through geography). A good time was had by all. I have to give a huge thanks to the Wheelers of the Koinonia Cafe in Kingsford, MI. Their kindness is unmeasurable and Liz's promotion was outstanding. Thanks guys! I spent a little more time in the U.P. and then drove home from Oshkosh, WI, where I played on 6/29. It was a great way to end the two weeks up north. The venue was great, the people were great and it was just an all around good time. Thanks to Stephanie, Mario, Aaron and everyone else who welcomed me to Oshkosh so wonderfully. I had a great time and I hope to see you all again soon! So it's off to the southern part of this midwest next week. Enjoy yourselves!
06.23.05 Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee! I actually just left there today. I spent much of the day yesterday on the Lake Michigan beach. It was 77 degrees..mmm. It felt really good to get sand in my hair. Last night I played at a cool little place called the Bremen Cafe - ironically on the corner of Clarke and...you guessed it...Frank Stalone...no - Bremen St. The stage was very intimate and cool. There were some pictures taken so keep an eye on the pictures page. Thanks to all who came and to Stephanie for helping out so much and being so kind. I just arrived in MI for some shows this weekend. I'm doing a radio interview tomorrow morning on WJNR, a radio station in Kingsford. Should be fun but I do hate the morning. See you soon! 06.16.05 Thanks to everyone who came to the Uncommon Ground show on 6/14! It was a great time, and you all being there meant a lot. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did. Mark Geary was great. Look for us to do some more stuff together in the future. I'm hanging out in the Chicago area right now... getting ready to go walk by Lake Michigan, it's a beautiful day. Next week it'll be off to WI and MI with me. I was thinking of going on into Canada for a while since I'll be pretty close, but I forgot my passport. CDs are selling fast! Thanks to everyone who has bought some. The "Awake" EPs are now available as well. They're only $5! You or anyone you know can order them by e-mailing merchandise@micahwalk.com. I'll see you all soon! |
